Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Museum
One of the main tourist attractions in Aurangabad, the Chhatrapati Shivaji Museum is located near the Nehru Bal Udyan and, as the name suggests, is dedicated to the Maratha ruler Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. War weapons and other antiquities of the erstwhile rulers of the Maratha Empire are kept here for public viewing. A 500-year-old war suit, a 400-year-old Paithani saree and a copy of the Quran handwritten by Aurangzeb are the main attractions of the museum. The museum is open all days of the week from 10:30 am to 6:00 pm. The nearest railway station and airport to the museum is at Aurangabad.
