Srikshetra Jalicha Dev
The “Jalicha Dev” is a very important religious place for devotees of the Mahanubhava sect. Sri Chakradhar Swami lived in this place for some time.
Shrikshetra Jalicha Dev – 28 km from Ajanta and 25 km from Buldana is the sacred pilgrimage site of Mahanubhava Panthiya’s “Jalicha Deva”. The founder of Mahanubhava Panth Sri Chakradhar Swami toured Maharashtra in the twelfth century. He visited Kanashi, Bhadgaon, Pachora, Shenduni, Changdev from Sri Chakradhar Swami Gangathira. , came to Hartala. From Hartala, Swami came to Savladbara. From here to Valsawangi (Jalna district), he stopped to rest under the shade of a karvanda net in this thick forest. There he saw two tigress cubs. He took them in his lap and started to caress them. . Just then tigress came to the place and started roaring. As soon as Swami looked at her, she started wagging her tail like a pet dog. This lila (incident) happened when Swami was sitting in a net with blossoming vines. Hence this teetha kshetra got the name of God of net. Vaghoda (Dist. Devotee (Chair) Laxman Rao Patil from Jalgaon came here in 1936 to cure his leprosy. He fasted here for twenty one days. Named after. At three o’clock in the morning on the twenty-first day, he saw a sadhu in a dream. And said you shade me, I will destroy your disease. After a few days Mr. Patil became healthy. To fulfill the promise made to the Lord in a dream, he removed the trees and bushes around this place and started the construction of the temple in 1938. At that time there was the rule of the Nizam’s Badshah, so the authorities did not give permission for the construction. Then (Kai.) Mr. Patil and the local priest (Chairman) Dattubuva went to Hyderabad and got permission for construction. In 1942, the assembly hall was completed and the Kalsharohan ceremony was held in grandeur.
Santa Darshan benefit to cowherds for coconut –
S.N. No one lived here between 1920 and 1925. Even today, the old cowherds of Savaldeva village still remember that the stone and clay pot was built under the netted vines. Even if it was a full moon day, the cowherds used to come to this place, because there were coconuts offered by devotees at this place. All the cowherds come together and break the coconut and eat it.
