Udgir Hattibet-Devarjan
In Udgir taluka of Latur district, a place called Mauje Hatti Bet is located 16 km west of Udgir town. Hatti Island has gained importance since ancient times. Along with ancient temples, caves, carved sculptures can be seen in large numbers in this place. Hatti Bet Devarjana has got the regional tourism status. History is told here that the freedom fighters fought against the Razakars in the Marathwada Liberation War and did not allow the Razakars to conquer Hatti Island till the end. There is a temple of Datta on Hatti Island as well as a Samadhi of Gangaram Maharaj. A large number of devotees visit this place, which is a part of people’s faith, from nearby villages and neighboring states. Bhajans, kirtans and sermons are organized here on the full moon.
Elephant Island used to be a barren and rugged mountain. As the land here was of poor quality, there were no natural trees on the hill. This forest area is on the border of Mauje Hanmantwadi, Dharmapuri, Karavandi and Devarjan villages and its area is 41 hectares. Hatti Bet is a good example of how good things can be done if the people decide, the administration is supported by the people and the villagers. All these together have made this barren mountain green. His appearance has changed.

On the occasion of Datta Jayanti, a big yatra is held at Hatti Island. The tradition of Ekadashi Kirtan and Bhajan every month has been going on for hundreds of years. Besides, thousands of devotees come to Hatti Island every Purnima for Aarti, Japa, Mahaprasad.
This island is always crowded with tourists and devotees in all the three seasons of summer, monsoon and winter.

Regular state transport buses are available from any Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation bus stand. National Highway 62 passes through Ausa taluka in Latur district.
